Careers Behind the Camera with Amazon MGM Studios
In this lesson, students will learn what it takes to create some of the world’s biggest shows and films. Let our experts tell you all about it as we journey through the making of a production from start to finish, exploring how human expertise goes hand in hand with innovative advancements in tech.
Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at the exciting roles that work together in order to bring world-class films and TV to your screens. Through bite-sized videos, Amazon Studios experts from the UK and USA will show students how technology and creativity intersect on a global scale. They’ll explore careers across production, virtual production, editing, visual effects, marketing, and operations, while learning how professionals use data, AI, and innovative technologies to solve problems and deliver high-quality content to audiences around the world. During the tour, students will meet experts including a Visualization Supervisor, a Hardware Engineer, a Software Engineer, a Post Production Supervisor, Social Media Marketing and a Generative AI Visualization Supervisor.
This 40-minute interactive tour is aligned to international education standards. The accompanying Teacher Toolkit includes ready-to-use lesson slides, worksheets, and classroom activities designed to support learning objectives and extend students’ understanding of computer science careers.
The tour is completely free and requires no registration. During the interactive experience, students will answer questions and can pause the tour at any time to discuss ideas and ask questions. It’s designed to fit within a standard classroom lesson and can be used flexibly depending on teaching needs.
