Apprenticeships and bursaries

For students aged 18+ we’re offering support through apprenticeships and university bursaries. Read on to find out how Amazon is providing support.

As part of Amazon’s apprenticeship scheme we’re offering 120 apprenticeships in software development engineering, automation and advanced mechatronics. Our apprenticeship programme launches in March. As well as taking the first step into a computer science career, successful applicants will benefit from on-the-job work experience and classroom-based learning. Find out more here.

University bursaries

We fund bursaries for students from lower-income backgrounds studying computer science at Cambridge, Kings College London, Ravensbourne London, Manchester and Edinburgh universities which neighbour our corporate sites and development centres. As well as receiving financial support, students benefit from mentoring and internship opportunities, helping them to take the first steps in pursuing a computer science career. The bursaries are awarded by participating universities in line with their bursary selection processes.
